The Faculty of Chemistry ( USTHB), The Macromolecular and Thio-organic macromolecular Synthesis Laboratory (LSMTM) organze the First International Symposium on Polymer Chemistry and Applications. SICPA-2019 covers all areas of polymer science and engineering, including synthesis, characterization, processing, modeling and materials, as well as topics at the interface between polymer science and other disciplines, that address a range of important issues faced by our modern society and the socio-economic environment. The main goal of this meeting, through the planned plenary lectures by worldwide experts and oral presentations, is to encourage and stimulate the exchange of ideas and of cross-disciplinary discussion while also allowing for social interaction and recreation. On behalf of the organizing committee of SICPA-2019, we are looking forward to welcoming you in Taghit from February 23 -25, 2019.Read More
Taghit is a real nest of greenery at the edge of the erg. Biological but also heritage treasure and architectural, with its ocher houses nestled in the heart of the oasis Ksar erected dominated by defense concern, on a rocky outcrop. It is a strikingly beautiful place, with strong and seemingly threatening sand dunes (ergs) to the east of the town. The old part of the city is a covered labyrinth, representing the most typical element of Saharan clay architecture. What makes Taghit a must, is that one really gets the feeling of the huge dimensions of the Sahara ergs. The Grand Erg Occidental is the second largest of the two dominating ergs of Algeria and as there is no way any human life could be sustained here, no villages are found inside it, no roads crossing through it.Videos ...
